We are deeply concerned and grieved to hear about the violence and harm you have experienced, especially at the hands of those who claim to be followers of Christ. We stand with you in prayer and speak out against these ungodly actions.
Firstly, we rebuke the sinful behavior of Mark, Becky, and Laurie. The Bible is clear in Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB), "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Their actions do not align with the teachings of Jesus Christ, and they need to repent sincerely.
We pray for your protection, dear brother Jeremy. Psalm 91 (WEB) assures us, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence." We claim this divine protection over your life.
We also pray for justice in this situation. Romans 12:19 (WEB) tells us, "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord." We trust that God will bring justice and hold Mark and his family accountable for their actions.
Finally, we pray that Mark, Becky, and Laurie will genuinely repent and turn away from their sinful behavior. Matthew 18:15-17 (WEB) guides us on how to handle such situations, encouraging us to confront them privately and, if necessary, involve others or the church. We pray that they will understand the gravity of their actions and seek forgiveness and restoration.
In all things, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man. It is through His name that we have access to God and salvation. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
We will continue to keep you in our prayers, brother Jeremy, and we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God will bring about justice and healing in this situation.
