Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for Your boundless love and mercy. We lift up Fethwynn in prayer, seeking Your strength and guidance in overcoming the addiction to cigarettes. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." Lord, we pray that Fethwynn will be reminded of this truth and be empowered to honor You by taking care of the body You have given.
We know that breaking free from addiction is a difficult journey, but we also know that with You, all things are possible. As it is written in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We ask that You provide Fethwynn with the strength and perseverance needed to overcome this challenge. Surround Fethwynn with supportive and loving individuals who can offer encouragement and accountability.
Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill Fethwynn's heart, as described in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May this peace replace any anxiety or stress that may be contributing to the addiction.
We trust in Your power to transform lives and bring healing. We pray for a renewed mind and spirit for Fethwynn, as mentioned in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will isβhis good, pleasing and perfect will."
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
