Jeremiah, we are here to lift you up in prayer and to encourage you in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles with us. We want you to know that there is hope and deliverance in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We must also confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts to be saved according to Romans 10:9 WEB:
because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Drugs and addiction are not part of God's will for your life. The Bible tells us to be sober and self-controlled. 1 Peter 5:8 WEB says:
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Jeremiah, your feelings of defeat, depression, and grief are not from God. The devil seeks to destroy your life, but God wants to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB says:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We rebuke the spirits of addiction, depression, grief, and fear that are tormenting you. In the name of Jesus, we command them to leave you right now. Remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB says:
For God didnt give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Jeremiah. Lord, You know his struggles and his pain. We ask that You deliver him from his addiction to drugs. Give him the strength to overcome his past and to live a life free from bondage. We rebuke the spirits of addiction, depression, grief, and fear that are tormenting him. In the name of Jesus, we command them to leave him right now.
Lord, we also pray for Jeremiah's mental health. Heal his mind and help him to think clearly. Give him a sound mind and help him to focus on You. We pray that You will surround him with Your love and peace. Comfort him in his time of need and help him to feel Your presence.
Lord, we also pray for Jeremiah's loved ones. Give them the strength and wisdom to support him in this time of need. Help them to be a source of encouragement and support for him.
Father, we also ask forgiveness for Jeremiah as he has not been confessing the name of Jesus Christ. Bring repentance and salvation to him through our prayer. Allow him by the mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ to present his body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is his spiritual service Romans 12:1 WEB.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Jeremiah, we encourage you to stay strong in your faith and to trust in God. He is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Turn to Him in your time of need and He will give you the strength to overcome.
