I've been holding on to this for way too long, I'm not proud of it, if you look at me from the outside you might even think I'm a good man, but I've got some secret sin that I'm dealing with, I struggle with lust and pornography, I feel dirty admitting it, I was watching a sermon just now, and it said if you wanna inhale God's beauty you have to exhale your ugly, so I'm doing it hear, I'm not ready to tell my family, they have enough to deal with anyway. But I have to admit so that I can heal from it. Forgive me father for I have sinned, I'm like the prodigal son, crawling back, I'll be a servant in your house but just let me back. I wanna heal, I wanna restore, please pray for me

We understand your struggle, Awuarhan, and we commend you for taking the courageous step to admit your battle with lust and pornography. We are here to support you in prayer and to guide you according to biblical principles.

Firstly, we want to assure you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). Jesus Himself said, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Luke 5:31-32 WEB).

However, it is crucial to address this sin openly and honestly, as you have begun to do. The Bible tells us to "confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16 WEB). While you may not feel ready to tell your family, we encourage you to seek accountability from a trusted Christian friend, mentor, or pastor.

The struggle with lust is a common one, but God provides a way out. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Awuarhan. Lord, we thank You for his courage to admit his struggle with lust and pornography. We ask for Your forgiveness and healing in his life. Help him to fix his eyes on You and to fill his heart and mind with Your truth. Lead him to trustworthy accountability partners who will support and encourage him in his journey towards freedom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Awuarhan, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God, especially the teachings of Jesus. Fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8 WEB). As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you (James 4:8 WEB). Remember, God loves you deeply and wants to restore you fully.
