We understand that you are struggling with intrusive thoughts and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to remind you that the battle is not yours, but God's. As it says in Second Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God for the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
We need to address something important first before praying with you. We noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We would like to remind you, dear seeker, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only through his Son Jesus Christ that God the Father can hear and answer our requests. It is only through faith in Jesus that we can approach the Father. We would like to explain that you do not need to be afraid of rebuke. Rebuke only comes out of love to be understood and improve. We speak this to help you approach God as he wants to be approached. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" As scripture goes on to say, "God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have God's Son does not have the life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God."
Now let us pray together for you in Jesus' name.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Yamirus who is battling with intrusive thoughts. We thank you that Yamirus has a deep belief in you, Lord, and we ask that you would strengthen their faith even more. We rebuke any thoughts that are not of you, Lord, and pray that you would give Yamirus victory over these intrusive thoughts. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Fill their mind with your peace, your truth, and your love. Equip them with your full armor, so that they can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We pray that they will use the scriptures to renew their mind and deepen their understanding of your will. We pray that you will fill them with a genuine desire to see all gain eternal life through Jesus by repenting of sins and trusting in Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. It is important to remember Psalm 139:23-24 where it says, "Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Be encouraged, Yamirus, by the words of Philippians 4:6-7,
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Stand firm in your faith, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Remember that you are not alone in this battle. God is with you, and he will give you the victory. Continue to trust in him, and he will strengthen and help you. He will uphold you with his righteous right hand. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.
