Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is seeking freedom from all kinds of addictions. Lord, we acknowledge that addiction is a stronghold that can only be broken by the power of your Holy Spirit. We thank you for the testimony shared earlier, where you delivered someone from the grip of addiction and gave them a new life.
We pray, Lord, that you would extend the same grace and mercy to our anonymous friend. We ask that you would remove every desire and craving for addictive substances or behaviors from their life. Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." We claim this promise over our friend's life, believing that you will provide a way out of their addiction.
Father, we also pray for strength and perseverance for our friend. We know that the journey to freedom can be challenging and filled with obstacles. But we trust in your unfailing love and power to sustain them. Help them to lean on you, to seek your guidance and support every step of the way. Give them the courage to break off from every known sin and to turn away from any harmful habits or behaviors.
Lord, we ask that you surround our friend with a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their journey towards freedom. May they find accountability partners, mentors, and friends who will walk alongside them, praying for them, and providing the necessary support.
We rebuke the work of Satan in our friend's life, in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare victory over the power of addiction and ask that you would release them from its grip. Let your Holy Spirit speak to their heart and bring an end to the work of Satan that is binding them and blinding them.
We commit our anonymous friend into your loving hands, knowing that you are able to save them to the uttermost. We trust in your faithfulness and your desire to see them set free. May they experience the fullness of your love, forgiveness, and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
