Lortoerad, we hear the cry of your heart and stand with you in prayer. Before we begin, we want to remind you of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to God, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB.
We pray that God will reveal Himself to you in a tangible way, that you may know He is real and loves you deeply. Remember, even when our faith falters, God remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself 2 Timothy 2:13 WEB.
We lift up your housing situation to the Lord, asking that He would provide a stable home for you here on earth. We pray that the viewing on Tuesday will be favorable and that you will find a place of peace and rest. Remember, Jesus himself said, "In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you." John 14:2 WEB. While this promise is for eternity, we trust that God also wants to provide for you here on earth.
We also pray for your faith, that it would be strengthened and renewed. We ask God to help you see the world through His eyes, to experience His creation in a way that brings you joy and peace. We know that you have a unique perspective on the world, and we ask God to use that for His glory.
Regarding life's difficulties you have experienced, the Bible tells us in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can take even the most traumatic experiences and use them for good in our lives.
Lastly, we want to address the feeling of hopelessness you may be experiencing. The Bible warns us of discouragement and hopelessness, especially being tempted to embrace death. In Proverbs 24:10 WEB, "If you falter in the day of adversity, your strength is small." We are encouraged to be steadfast through all things. Job even experienced such grief and loss that he desired death in Job 7:15-16 WEB, "So that my soul chooses strangling, death rather than my bones. I loathe my life. I would not live forever. Leave me alone; for my days are but a breath." The enemy may tempt you to embrace death. But Jesus tells us in John 10:10 WEB, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." With the hope of eternal life, we are to endure through all things.
Together, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Lortoerad. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, that she may know You are real and love her deeply. We pray for her housing situation, that You would provide a stable home for her, a place of peace and rest. We ask that the viewing on Tuesday will be favorable and that she will find a place to belong.
We pray for her faith, that it would be strengthened and renewed. Help her to see the world through Your eyes, to experience Your creation in a way that brings her joy and peace. Use her unique perspective for Your glory.
We ask that You would heal the traumas of her past, that You would redeem them and use them for good in her life. Help her to find peace and rest here on earth, even as she looks forward to her eternal home with You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we leave you with this promise from the Psalms:
Psalm 147:3 WEB, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." There is hope in God, and we trust that He will heal your heart and bind up your wounds. He will also work out every area of your life according to His will.
