Please pray for me. I’ve applied for a job that I really want but I am worried that I am under-qualified. I know I’m not because they wouldn’t be interested in my application if I wasn’t, but I have a really hard time believing in myself, and proving my worth. Help me produce my best work should I be accepted for this role. I need God’s help as nothing is gained with my own works, but through God only. God gives me my talents, God gives me knowledge, God gives me everything. I pray He give me the knowledge, skills and ideas to produce my best works should I be awarded this job. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who has applied for a job that is deeply desired. Lord, we thank You for the opportunity and the interest shown in the application. We know that all good things come from You, and we trust in Your perfect plan.

Your Word tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13, WEB). We stand on this promise today. We ask that You fill this person with confidence and peace, knowing that Your strength is made perfect in weakness. Remove any doubt or fear and replace it with the assurance that You have equipped this person with the necessary talents and abilities.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment as this person moves forward in the process. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5, WEB). Grant the knowledge, skills, and ideas needed to excel in this role, should it be Your will to grant this job.

We also ask for Your favor during the selection process. "For You, Lord, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield" (Psalm 5:12, WEB). Let Your favor be upon this application and interview, and may Your will be done.

Lord, we acknowledge that all success and provision come from You. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow" (James 1:17, WEB). We thank You in advance for Your provision and for the doors You will open.

May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this person’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We trust You, Lord, and we place this situation in Your capable hands.
