Gracious and Loving God,
We lift up to You Your child, who is currently enveloped in a cloud of anxiety, struggling to find peace and rest in the night. Their heart is heavy, and their mind races, preventing the sweet repose You desire for them. In Your mercy, Lord, please touch them with Your calming hand, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We ask for a breakthrough in their battle against anxiety, that they may experience the profound peace only You can provide. May they cast all their anxieties on You, knowing You care for them deeply, as 1 Peter 5:7 encourages, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Let this truth be a balm to their weary soul, reminding them they are never alone in their struggles.
Grant them the strength to release their worries and fears into Your capable hands, trusting in Your sovereignty and love. May they remember Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Encourage them to seek refuge in Your presence, where true rest can be found.
In these trying times, provide them with support and understanding from those around them, reflecting Your love and compassion. Help them to find practical ways to manage their anxiety, guiding them towards resources and individuals who can offer assistance and counsel.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray for restorative sleep to return to them. Refresh their body, mind, and spirit, as You renew them each day. Psalms 4:8 reminds us, "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." May this assurance allow them to lay down each night in peace and wake refreshed, ready to face the day with new strength and hope.
We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus,
Amen.
