We are truly sorry to hear about the losses you've experienced and the emotional turmoil you're going through. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB) it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your grief. It's natural to feel sad and angry when you've lost loved ones, and it's important to express those emotions to God. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13 (WEB) it says, "But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope." We have hope in Jesus Christ.
Regarding your feelings of anger and the conflicts within your family, we encourage you to lean on God's wisdom.
The Psalmist reminds us, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.". Be careful that anger does not lead to sin. In Proverbs 15:1 (WEB) it says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
We also want to remind you you are correct that our pet companions are not meant to replace family and friends. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. Micah 7:5-7 reminds us, "Do not trust in a neighbor. Do not put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, be guarded in your speech. For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house."
In all things we should pray and God hears our prayers. In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our loved one Tiffy Taffy. You know the pain and sadness they are feeling. We thank you Jesus that you are IJN close to the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit and that you have a plan and purpose for everything. Lord, we ask that You comfort Tiffy Taffy in their grief and bring hope and healing to their heart. May your grace be with Tiffy Taffy as they face their situation. Help them to be able to trust you for a pet again and take comfort that you are their greatest friend. Help them to turn to You in their anger and frustration, and guide them in their relationships with their family. Help them to be a peacemaker and build bridges of love and understanding. We also pray that You would bless Tiffy Taffy and their family, and that You would work all things together for their good and Your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
