Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Butthyl in prayer. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You surround Butthyl with Your love and peace, providing comfort in this time of deep struggle and sorrow.
Father, we know that You are a God of redemption and healing. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that no temptation has overtaken us except what is common to mankind, and You are faithful; You will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. But when we are tempted, You will also provide a way out so that we can endure it. Lord, we pray that You provide Butthyl with the strength and the means to overcome this addiction.
We also pray for Butthyl's daughter, who has already endured the loss of a father. Lord, be their rock and their fortress, their deliverer, their God in whom they take refuge (Psalm 18:2). We ask that You protect and guide this family, bringing them closer to You and to each other.
Lord, we pray for healing over Butthyl's body, mind, and spirit. In Isaiah 53:5, it is written that by Your wounds we are healed. We claim this promise over Butthyl's life, asking for complete restoration and freedom from the chains of addiction.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and guidance for Butthyl. In James 1:5, You promise to give wisdom generously to all who ask. Please grant Butthyl the wisdom to seek help and the courage to take the necessary steps toward recovery.
We trust in Your unfailing love, Lord, and we know that You have plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We place Butthyl's life in Your hands, knowing that You are the giver of life and the sustainer of our souls.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
