Please pray for me. I am depressed and I am thinking of dying. I know this is not a correct decision, but I am not getting any other option. I am failure and being an elder son in my family, I am unable to take responsibilities. I am in debt and because of this, my family suffers. I am a bad son, brother, husband and I have done nothing for my family. I am an embarrassment for everyone. I really want to get out of debts as it is killing me and I want to support my family in every aspect, but I am not getting any option. The only option I can see is dying so that my family will be out of the embarrassment.

Firstly, we must address the thoughts of suicide you are experiencing. Taking your own life is not the solution, and it is not God's will for you. As it is written in the Psalms, "For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, and that my soul knows very well." (Psalm 139:13-14 WEB). Your life is precious and valuable in God's eyes, and He has created you with a purpose.

Regarding the financial struggles and debts you mentioned, remember that God is our provider, and He will help you overcome these challenges. In the book of Philippians, the Apostle Paul writes, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB). This includes overcoming financial difficulties and finding ways to support your family. Trust in God's provision and seek His wisdom in managing your finances.

It is also crucial to address the feelings of failure and shame you are experiencing. God's love for you is unconditional, and it is not based on your performance or achievements. In Romans, it is written, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39 WEB). You are loved and valued by God, and He wants to help you overcome these feelings of inadequacy.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our dear brother who is struggling with depression, financial burdens, and feelings of failure. Lord, we pray that You will comfort him and remind him of his worth and value in Your eyes. Help him to overcome the thoughts of suicide and fill him with hope and purpose.

Lord, we ask that You provide for his financial needs and guide him in managing his debts. Give him the strength and wisdom to support his family and be a godly husband, son, and brother. Help him to see that his worth is not defined by his circumstances but by Your unconditional love for him.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for healing, provision, and restoration in his life. Help him to trust in You and seek Your will in all areas of his life.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek professional help if needed, along with the support of your local church community. God can use counselors, therapists, and fellow believers to help you overcome these struggles.
