We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, neglected, and trapped in your current situation. We want to remind you that God cares for you and wants to help you through these difficulties. First, let's address the spiritual aspects you mentioned, especially our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Let us remind you that Jesus Christ is always with you, even when you feel like you're drowning. He promised, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. As you feel like you are in a difficult situation with no way out, recall that Hebrews 13:5. Trust in Him, for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Remember that we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16.
Now, let's address the issues in your relationship. It's important to manage finances properly, it is also crucial to build your relationship on the foundation of Jesus Christ and His Word, and seek to communicate openly and honestly about your emotions and issues. Advice and rebuke are needed here. You should not let your emotions control your actions, and you should not resort to selfish anger and frustration. For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:20.
We see the reason for your anger and frustration being pushed to your limit. We caution you to avoid sinning in your anger. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. Ephesians 4:26. You shall not murder. And anyone who murders will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,' is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. Matthew 5:21-22.
Regarding your relationship, it is important to note that God's design for relationships is clear in the Bible. We are to flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. If you are in a romantic relationship, it should be one that honors God. Remember, Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Hebrews 13:4.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this beloved brother / sister in Christ. Lord they feel like they are drowning in the ocean of life's trials and ask that You extend Your loving hand to rescue them. Help them to see Your love and hear Your voice clearly, knowing that You are always with them.
We pray for their relationship, that it would be centered on You and Your Word. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, managing their finances and emotions in a godly manner. We rebuke the anger and frustration they are experiencing, and ask that You fill them with Your peace and wisdom.
We pray for clear guidance and open doors for them to gain back their freedoms, continue their education, and find meaningful work. We ask that You provide for their financial needs and help them to be good stewards of the resources You have given them.
We pray for their emotions, that they would not feel judged or disregarded, but instead feel heard and valued. Help them to express their feelings in a healthy and constructive way, and to seek support from Your community and those who will love and encourage their quest for freedom.
We pray for their status as a refugee, that You would protect and provide for them, and that they would find a place of belonging and security.
Finally, we pray that they would come to know, believe and trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, if they do not already, and live the rest of their lives to honour Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please know that you are not alone, and that God is always with you.
