Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me and my mom. We are going through hard times right now. My mom is a strong Christian and recently found out my Dad committed adultery on her for the third time. He is very narcissistic and lies all the time about what hes doing. My mom has been trying to get a divorce and she has had a bad lawyer that has not responded to her phone calls and has been doing nothing for 5 years. There are no lawyers with good reputations around here(we live in a small rural southern town full of men that dont value women. My mom overheard a judge saying " you better get a lawyer for you and your sweetie" to a man that had committed adultery on his wife. Also, my dad lied to the judge and said he needed a lawyer and the judge immediately granted it. My mom has never seen anything like it. The judges have acted like they are on my dads side(the adulterer). At the end of the court proceedings for separation she caught the judges and her lawyer and dads lawyer talking together. This made her feel uneasy. Her lawyer didnt seem to be sticking up for her at all. During mediation none of the men(including mediator) allowed her to talk.
She thinks she might have found a lawyer but hes asking for too much money the first visit. Recently, my mom went up North to go to her dads funeral and he sold the house from under her while me and her were in Ohio. After we got back, he threw all boxes down from our two story home and made us pack everything up ourselves without helping at all.
I had costochronditis from teacher making me bench press too much for exam. I was on muscle relaxants and having my heart checked because it was beating irregularly. I am 27.
My dad has been hiding money from my mom and the court. My dad has been doing small business and acting like he has no money to try to act poor to the judge. He has worked with respiratory therapy manager for years at previous work so he is lying. During the time that my moms divorce was waylaid my dad decided to buy a big mansion by a lake with another woman. They have been living together for 5 years whole my moms lawyer has done nothing for her. We are now living in a 50's house that has various electricity and spider problems.
Today my mom got a IRS card saying that they were going to seize me and my moms rented home! My dad has not been paying utilities and illegally filed his taxes in a joint account even though my mom is separated. Now shes been getting papers from the IRS that her property is about to be seized. She doesnt own the property. Its my dad thats been paying the rent for her and he has not been paying his taxes. He has been putting her name and sending his tax statements to our home instead of his house. Hes been illegally doing this while hes got a small business and hiding income.
My mom doesnt have a job and neither do I. I have disabilities and she is 62 and she has been a homemaker for over 20 years. To make matters worse we just found out that my dad is moving and she needs to get divorced and gather alimoney but her lawyer isnt doing anything and the court system isnt doing anything for her divorce. My dads been telling my mom time and time again not to divorce him and that she doesnt need alimoney. BUT SHE NEEDS IT FOR ME AND HER TO SURVIVE!! He acts like he doesnt want to get her anything. Hes also wanting to move so we dont know if he'll show up in divorce court.
Another problem is that I have a Bipolar brother that doesnt work(dad allowed this) and expects his "daddy" to do everything for him. He is a really sweet brother sometimes but has had drug addiction problems. He also has a very hot temper if he doesnt get his way. My mom doesnt want to have to deal with his problems and "wants" that he might bring on her. He has been suicidal before and has been asking my dad to move him. He is located near some dangerous neighbors that have tried to break into his home many times. He says he cant get a job right now because he doesnt want to get his house broken into. Hes got security cameras installed around his home. He constantly asks my dad for ejuice(for smoking), money for accessories, and etc. My mom doesnt want to be a supplier of his spoiled wants. She thinks he will start asking for different things from her and that my dad is going to leave this somewhat abusive brothr that doesnt have a job with us. My brothr has also been sexually improper towards me before(tried to touch my bottom). He wants to move out of his other house to a apartment. He says he cant stand it living where he is. Now my dad is trying to move away and leaving my brother like this.
In our new home I hve been having to sleep doenstairs because the house we are in doesnt have central air upstairs. It also has spider and electricity problems. This is a really big mess so please pry for my mom and I to be protected and know what to do. I am also starting my first year at college and this all feels overwhelming. I need to get into the teachereducation program but I hve some rough courses with a professor that wont respond to emails and is giving too much work. My advisor has also been not responding to emails about needing teacher dispositions. Since I am a transfer student I have not hd experience with very much of the faculty and Im needing to pick two professors to recommend me for being a teacher candidate. I dont have any teachers because this is my first year and I am already ready for my interview. Im not sure what to do and my advisor hasnt been helping me. I dont want to use the professor that has been giving me and other students a hard time because Im afraid she would speak negatively about me. I have not been understanding assignments and she not given me extra time on tests and assignments for my disabilities(ADD, OCD, touch of Aspergers). I know that kindergarten teaching is what Gods been leading me towards.

She has been going through crying spells and we dont have anyone loving reaching out to us through all of this. Right now I dont have any close friends. Neither does my mom. The people at church arent very friendly either. The church we are at is the only one nearby that has good music we feel(contemporary christian) and christian paster that meets our spiritual preference. There are no divorce support groups. We feel very alone in this. We need prayer! All the prayer we can get! Thank you.
