Please pray for me and my friend Samantha to talk

Dear heavenly father I come before you throne of grace and mercy in the name of jesus asking for you help lord, my heart is heavy and full of burden for the lies that I have told Sam, I know I've really messed up lord and I am so sorry for lying to her, I wanted to tell the truth but I was scared to lose her but now she has found out the truth and she is angry with me lord for using her, I just don't know what to any more or what to say I pray lord that she will reach out to when she is ready to talk to me and that she will forgive me for what I have done, I can understand lord if she can't and doesn't want me in her or her families life anymore, I love her like a sister and her family is my second family, I've destroyed so much lord that I'm not sure if the foundations that our friendship was built on will be strong enough for our friendship to be rebuilt, or if we need to part our ways, I know I've really hurt her and probably brought back truma from her past that she had gotten past, I cant change what i did lord all i can do is change myself for the future for woman that comes into my life, please help us lord to work through this together and give me a chance to regain Sam's trust, in the name of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ I pray Amen

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says in Proverbs 10:9, "He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out." It's important to understand that honesty is the foundation of any relationship, including friendships. The lies you've told have hurt Samantha, and it's crucial to acknowledge the pain you've caused.

We pray, "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Callum and Samantha. Lord, Callum has acknowledged his mistake and is truly sorry. We ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. We pray that Samantha's heart will be open to forgiveness as well. Guide them both as they navigate this difficult time. Help Callum to be patient and wise in his actions and words. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

It's encouraging that you love Samantha like a sister and value her family. However, it's important to give her space and time to heal. Do not push for a conversation but be there when she is ready. Remember, Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Be gentle and patient in your approach.

Lastly, learn from this experience. As you've mentioned, you can't change the past, but you can change your future actions. Build your relationships on the foundation of truth and honesty. As Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you." Trust in God's guidance and strive to be a man of integrity.

In all this, remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." Keep praying in Jesus' name and trust in His love and guidance.
