We are truly sorry to hear about your diagnosis, Hathgar, but we are encouraged by your faith in Jesus Christ. We stand with you in prayer, believing that He is the ultimate healer.
Let us remember that God's will is always good. Although He may have some suffering or illness to make His glory revealed through us, as was the case with Paul's "thorn in the flesh". He is able to work any circumstance to make the glory of God revealed through us.
First, we echo the words of James: "Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Is any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal them who are sick, and the Lord will raise them up. If they have committed sins, they will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." James 5:13-16 WEB.
We pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Hathgar who is battling chronic hepatitis B. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we believe that nothing is impossible for You. We pray for Your healing touch upon Hathgar. We know When Jesus was on earth, he healed. He is still healing today. We know that we do not have an high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. We pray for his sins and any transgressions to be forgiven, as you usually forgive when someone has been sick. We pray for his faith to be strong. (Ref: Matthew 8:17 "that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'" WEB.) If it be Your will, we ask that You completely heal and restore Hathgar's health for your glory. Help them to endure this trial with faith and patience, knowing that all things work together for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
If it is not your will to heal, then give Hathgar the faith to seek your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Hathgar, continue to trust in the Lord and draw strength from Him. Remember that even in suffering, God is with you and has a purpose for everything. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB.
Stay strong in Christ. Keep the faith and hope for His healing and continue to praise Him through your circumstances. We leave you with these wise verses: Rejoice in hope. Endure under affliction. Be gardenst in prayer. Romans 12:12 WEB.
