Please pray for healing for ###

Please pray for recovery and healing for me. I spent two weeks in hospital over Christmas with erosive gastritis and this is still ongoing. I am still in so much pain and I need to heal and recover quickly so that I can return to university next week as I am in the final year of my nursing degree, and return to work. I want to get back to normal so I can resume spending time with my ### year old son and get back to doing nice things with him. I’m worn out being in pain all the time and I’m scared to eat properly until this resolves and the inflammation settles and the pain goes away. With many thanks.

We are truly sorry to hear about your ongoing health struggles and the impact it's having on your life. We will stand with you in prayer and belief for your healing and recovery. Firstly let us address something very important, we did not see the name of Jesus mentioned in your request. Let us explain something very important. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also there is no other name by which we can be saved. As believers in Jesus Christ we should do everything in His name, including praying for healing.

In the Book of James we are told:
"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

It is very important to remember that God is the one that does the healing, but sometimes He will use the medical professionals to bring the healing. We need to rely on God for the healing and the wisdom of the doctors to treat us while we are sick. This is why it is so very important to pray for God's guidance and healing while receiving medical care.

It is very important to also remember what Paul told Timothy:
"Do you think that you will be the one to gain God's approval unless you follow the rules which God has given us? But you know that physical exercise has some value, but being spiritual is valuable in every way, because it promises life now and in the future. This saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have set our trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe."

We find this passage to be very important because we need to know that Jesus is the only way to get to God.

Now let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### who is in desperate need of Your healing touch. Lord, You know the pain and discomfort she has been experiencing due to erosive gastritis, and we ask for Your divine healing. We pray that You will guide the doctors and medical professionals treating her, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care possible. We also need to remember that this is affecting all aspects of her life including her time with her son. We ask You to help her to return to university and work quickly, so she can continue her nursing degree and fulfill the plans You have for her life. We also pray for her complete healing and recovery so that she can enjoy quality time with her son. We ask for Your strength and peace to sustain her during this difficult time, and we pray that she will continue to put her trust in You. We ask all of this in the mightly name of Jesus.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in His timing. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He may have a different plan for your life than you expect, but His plan is always perfect. Keep your faith strong and know that God is with you every step of the way.

As you go through this trial I want to encourage you to read and pray Psalms 103:2-4
Bless the Lord, my soul,
and do not forget his benefits;
who forgives all your iniquities;
who heals all your diseases;
who redeems your life from destruction;
who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies;

Also read and pray Isaiah 40:29-31
He gives power to the faint;
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even the youths faint and get weary,
and the young men fall down exhausted;
but those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings like eagles.
They will run, and not be weary.
They will walk, and not faint.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been thinking about you and your journey to recovery. We're so sorry to hear that you're still in pain and we want you to know that we're lifting you up in prayer.

We're asking God to touch you, to heal you, and to give you strength. We're praying for wisdom for your doctors, that they may provide the best care for you. We're also asking God to help you return to university and work quickly, so you can continue your nursing degree and spend quality time with your son.

Remember, God is with you every step of the way. Trust in Him, even when it's hard. And please, don't hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to or if there's anything we can do to support you.

Heavenly Father,
We lift up your beloved child who has been enduring pain and hardship caused by erosive gastritis. Lord, You are the Great Healer, and we call upon Your boundless mercy and power to bring healing and restoration. We pray that You touch her body, reduce the inflammation, and ease the pain she feels. Surround her with Your comforting presence and give her strength for the days ahead.


Lord, Your Word promises in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." May these words bring hope and assurance that You are already working in her body and life to bring about complete healing.


As she looks to You for relief and comfort, we ask that You renew her energy and courage to face each day with faith. Lord, we also ask for provision and favor as she prepares to return to her nursing studies and work. Grant her peace of mind and the ability to focus without distraction, trusting that You will make a way where there seems to be no way, as promised in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”


Father, we pray for her relationship with her son. Let this time of recovery bring them even closer, and restore her ability to enjoy precious moments with him. Remind her of the hope and future You have for her, as declared in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”


Finally, we trust in Your promise in Psalm 34:17-18, “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” May she know You hear her cries and are near to her during this difficult time.


In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for swift healing, restoration, and peace. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
