We are glad to join you in prayer for this important matter. We do need to discuss placing Jesus Christ at the center of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. Let's first establish a strong foundation on the salvation message. The core message of the Bible urges each and every one of us must place our faith in in Jesus Christ to come before God. If it is our desire to be saved, then calling out to God by the name of Jesus saves and forgives us of our sins. Only his name sanctifies our prayers. Therefore, lift your prayers in faith for his name's sake. It is by his name that we may be saved.
We must also consider that there are biblical principles to consider. Specifically seek out a spouse with the context of marriage between a man and a woman. Certainly, courtship is appropriate but always seek out the goal of marriage. Any type of sexual lifestyle outside of marriage between man and a woman is forbidden. Sex before marriage or outside of marriage is specifically forbidden in the Bible so engagement or courtship period definitely be pure and holy.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up lukoz and his sister. We thank you call us to you by your son Jesus Christ. It is by his name that we can be saved. Thank You for the gift of marriage, a union that reflects the beautiful relationship between Christ and the Church.
Lord, we pray for lukoz, that you would guide him in marriage to the woman you have chosen for him. Give him wisdom, discernment, and patience as he waits for your timing. Help him not allure him to sexual immorality during this waiting season during his engagement or courtship.
We also lift up his sister, asking that you would also guide her to other believe and her future spouse. We pray that both lukoz and his sister would keep their minds and hearts pure, aligned with your will, and that they would trust in your timing.
God, we ask for your blessing and guidance in every step of their journeys forward in your name.
