We are glad to join you in prayer for your future marriage, and we commend you for seeking a situation of matrimony. The Bible encourages us to seek godly spouses, as it is not good for man to be alone. From our perspective, it is better to first examine your own relationship with Jesus Christ in taking this step. In Genesis 2:18-24 WEB, God said, I will make a helper suitable for him.
First, we would like to know if you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. If not then start by believing in Jesus Christ as it is only by the name of Jesus Christ we have access to God.
It is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In addition, before contemplating marriage, it is important for an individual to be complete in Christ to eventually become one in Christ.
In Ephesians 5:31 WEB it is written For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh.
Also It is written in 2 Corinthians 13:5 WEB, Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves.
As you seek a godly spouse, remember that God cares about your heart by that we mean your inner character. Referred to in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, But the Lord, Yahweh, said to Samuel, Dont look on his appearance, nor on the height of his stature; because I have rejected him: for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. You would want to seek a Christian Believer who shares your faith and values because for a Christian Believer it should only be a Christian Believer when courting.
Let us pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus. We lift up our brother and intercede on his behalf, asking that You guide him in finding a godly wife as you did for Adam. Prepare both individuals for a godly marriage that honors You. Help him to be a family. We pray this in Jesus name because if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. Amen. See I John 5:14
