We are grateful that this request was made in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation. The Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We are called to pray for one another's forgiveness and health, and we take this responsibility seriously. The Bible assures us, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7 WEB).
Regarding forgiveness, the Bible is clear, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
Concerning health, we know that God cares about our well-being. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2 WEB).
In regards to God's wrath, we know that Jesus bore God's wrath and turned it away and bore God's wrath on himself. God pours out His love toward those who believe in Jesus Christ, and He does not appoint us to wrath. (1 Thessalonians 5:9 WEB). However, it is true that those who do evil store up wrath and that wrath is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness. (Romans 2:5 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this person who seeks Your forgiveness, mercy, and healing. We confess that we all fall short of Your glory and are in need of Your grace. Thank You for Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We pray for this person's health, asking that You grant them strength, healing, and wholeness according to Your will. We trust in Your love and care for them, knowing that You desire for them to prosper in all things, just as their soul prospers.
We also pray that You remove any wrath from them, and we thank You that through faith in Jesus Christ, we are no longer appointed to wrath but are saved through His life, death, and resurrection. Help them to walk in the light, as You are in the light, so that they may have fellowship with You and with others, and so that the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son, may cleanse them from all sin.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this person to continue walking in the light, seeking God's forgiveness, and trusting in His love and care. We also encourage them to study God's Word and obey His commandments, knowing that His ways are always best.
If anything was said that did not align with God's Word, we trust that the Holy Spirit will bring correction and guidance.
