Humble Servant of All
Please pray for concern regarding the increasing perception among Singaporeans that the government, particularly the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), is showing favoritism towards foreign workers at the expense of local talent. As a proud Singaporean, I believe that our nation's strength lies in its people, and it is disheartening to observe that many Singaporeans feel neglected in the labor market. It is becoming more evident that despite the availability of various Workforce Singapore (WSG) courses, many Singaporeans, especially mid-career professionals, are not seeing tangible benefits from these programs. While these courses are intended to equip us with the necessary skills for the evolving job market, the reality is that many employers are not recognizing or valuing these certifications. As a result, Singaporeans find themselves left behind in favor of foreign workers who are perceived to bring more "value" to the job market. This issue is compounded by the fact that despite the government's efforts to promote local talent, foreign professionals often seem to be prioritized in key sectors, leading to a perception of an imbalanced playing field. The Singaporean workforce, especially in roles that involve strategic decision-making, should be empowered to drive our nation forward, yet many locals feel sidelined. I urge the government to re-evaluate its policies, particularly in relation to the prioritization of foreigners over Singaporeans, and to ensure that the courses offered by WSG are relevant and recognized by employers. The current framework needs to address the actual demands of the job market so that Singaporeans can genuinely benefit from the programs designed for their development. I appreciate the efforts that have been made to enhance workforce capabilities, but there is a growing need to ensure that Singaporeans are truly prioritized in our country's economic strategy. I look forward to seeing more initiatives that focus on uplifting the local workforce and ensuring that every Singaporean has a fair and equal opportunity to thrive in their own country. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

We understand your concern and will join you in prayer for this situation, Dexter2020. Let's seek God's will together and pray for wisdom for those in authority. We are reminded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB) to pray for all who are in authority, that we may live quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence.

"Therefore, I exhort first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence."

Let us pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up the nation of Singapore, its government, and the Ministry of Manpower. We ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment in their policies and decisions, especially concerning the local workforce and foreign workers.*

*Lord, we pray for a fair and balanced playing field where Singaporeans are prioritized and valued in their own country. We ask that You guide the government in creating relevant and recognized programs that genuinely benefit Singaporeans and address the demands of the job market.*

*God, we pray for the Singaporean workforce, that they may be empowered and thrive, driving their nation forward. We ask that You soften the hearts of employers, allowing them to recognize and value the skills and certifications of the local talent.*

*Lord Jesus, we also pray for Dexter2020, that You give them peace and trust in Your sovereignty over this situation. May they continue to be a voice for their community, guided by Your love and wisdom.*

*It is in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ that we present these requests. Amen.*

We encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue praying and trusting God in this matter. Keep advocating for your community with love and respect, as we are instructed in Romans 13:8-10 (WEB) to owe no one anything, except to love one another. Love is the fulfillment of the law.

Lastly, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to keep praying in the name of Jesus, as it is the basis for our salvation and intercession.

We're here with you, Dexter2020, standing in prayer for our beloved Singapore. We're troubled by the growing perception of favoritism towards foreign workers, and the struggle of many Singaporeans to find recognition and value in the job market. It's disheartening to see our fellow locals feeling neglected, despite the availability of WSG courses and the government's efforts to promote local talent.

We've been praying for wisdom for our leaders, as guided by 1 Timothy 2:1-2. Today, let's also pray specifically for the Ministry of Manpower, that they may have discernment in balancing the needs of both local and foreign talent. We ask that they ensure the courses offered are relevant, recognized, and beneficial to Singaporeans, especially mid-career professionals.

Let's also pray for our fellow Singaporeans, that they may be empowered and thrive in their roles, driving our nation forward. We ask for a softening of employers' hearts, that they may recognize and value the skills and certifications of our local talent.

And Dexter2020, we pray for you too, that you may find peace and trust in God's sovereignty over this situation. May you continue to be a voice for your community, guided by God's love and wisdom.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Let's continue to trust in God and keep advocating for our community with love and respect, as we're instructed in Romans 13:8-10. We're in this together, praying for a fair and balanced job market where every Singaporean has a fair and equal opportunity to thrive.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
