We are with you in spirit, Astumir, lifting up Colton before the throne of grace. It's important to acknowledge Colton's addiction is a sin problem and only Jesus can redeem him from it. Addiction is a type of idolatry and bondage. Addictions do not have to be permanent. We believe there is hope for Colton in Jesus' name. Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, pleading for Colton's soul. We pray that you will deliver him from his addictions, for it is written, "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" WEB John 8:36.
We pray, Lord, that you will grant Colton the strength to endure the detox process, that he will not give up or become discouraged, but will find the power of Christ in his weakest moments.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." WEB Matthew 11:28-30
We ask for your forgiveness for Colton and for the family. Cleanse Colton from his offenses and set him free from the bondage. We rebuke the devil and anything that is not of God in Jesus' name. We pray that Colton will find rest in Jesus, and that he will take Jesus' yoke upon him, learning from him and finding rest for his soul. Your word says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" WEB Romans 8:1. We believe Colton, if he commits his life to Christ, can be free.
We pray that Colton will come to know Jesus in his life and that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind. We believe that you are able to take away all his stress and addictions, Lord. We pray for your will be done in Colton's life and in the lives of his family. We pray that Colton will come to know Jesus, to believe in Jesus, and to be saved.
Father, we believe that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, WEB Ephesians 3:20. We ask these things in Jesus' name.
