Please pray for ### being safe

My boyfriend if going on a church retreat tomorrow at a different church than me, and there has been a lot of crime lately. I'm worried about him because he won't be able to text anyone because they don't have phone service where he's going, but I want him to be safe. I am relatively new to being a Christian, and I think I'm praying right, but I'm still not sure, and I need support and prayers so God will keep him safe.

We understand your concern for your boyfriend's safety and your desire to pray for him. Let us first assure you that praying in the name of Jesus is the right way to approach God, as He says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

We will pray for your boyfriend's safety, but we also want to encourage you both in your walks with Christ and your relationship. As you grow together in faith, we encourage you to consider the purpose of your relationship. As Christians, we should seek godly spouses and aim for relationships that honor God and lead to holy matrimony, as described in Hebrews 13:4 (WEB), "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

Now, let us pray for your boyfriend's safety during his church retreat:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###' boyfriend as he embarks on this church retreat. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over him, keeping him safe from all harm and danger. Comfort ###' heart and ease her worries, as she puts her trust in You. Help them both to grow in faith and commitment to You and to each other, seeking Your will for their relationship.

Lord, we also pray for ###, that she may gain confidence in her prayers and grow in her relationship with You. Guide her steps and help her to seek Your face continually.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your relationship. Remember, God desires for us to be equally yoked in our relationships, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" So, continue to pray, seek God, and trust in His plan for both of your lives.

We're also praying for your relationship, that it would grow stronger as you both seek God's will. Remember, God has a purpose and a plan for you both, and it's our joy to see you walking in it. Let's keep trusting Him, together.
