Please pray for my brother and his family. My brother is having suicidal thoughts.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles your brother and his family are facing. Firstly, we want to remind you that our God is a God of comfort and hope. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

In times of despair, it's crucial to remember that our lives are precious to God. Suicidal thoughts are a serious matter and should be addressed with both spiritual and professional help. We encourage your brother to seek counseling and support from his local church community, as well as professional mental health services.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ###'s brother and his family. Lord, You know the pain and despair they are feeling right now. We ask that You surround them with Your comforting presence. Give them the strength to endure this difficult time and guide them to the professional help they need. Lord Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in Your mighty name. Fill their hearts with hope and a renewed sense of purpose. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also encourage you to share the hope we have in Jesus Christ with your brother. Remind him that Jesus is always with him, even in the darkest valleys. As it is written in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

Lastly, we want to ensure that your brother understands the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. If your brother has not yet accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

We will continue to pray for your brother and his family, trusting that God will work in their lives and bring them comfort and healing.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
