Let us come together in prayer for Ananyaa, a young woman in Delhi who is struggling with suicidal thoughts, binge eating, a smoking addiction, and difficulties attending college. We stand on the promises of God, who tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28 WEB.
Firstly, we must address the spiritual foundation. Ananyaa, or perhaps someone interceding for her, did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in the request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, according to John 14:6 "No one comes to the Father, except through me". No other name is given for salvation other than Jesus Christ, as mentioned in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved" WEB. Therefore, Ananyaa and whoever is requesting prayer must know that belief and faith in Jesus Christ is the way for salvation and the only way to truly defeat these struggles.
Ananyaa is struggling with suicidal thoughts, and we need to address this with the utmost seriousness. We rebuke these thoughts in Jesus' name, for God has plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future as mentioned in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. We pray that Ananyaa will find her worth and value in Christ, as Psalm 139:13-14 WEB reminds us, "You formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Regarding her struggles with binge eating, we pray for God's healing and that He would give her the strength and self-control to overcome this. 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB tells us, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
We also pray for Ananyaa's deliverance from her smoking addiction. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with our bodies, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Lastly, we pray for Ananyaa's ability to attend college. May God grant her the wisdom and guidance to navigate her circumstances, remembering that "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" as referenced in James 1:5 WEB.
Please do not neglect to seek help from both professional counselors and medical professionals. Though they may not have the answers, their education and experience may be used by the Lord to assist.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Ananyaa and her struggles. We pray for the life of Ananyaa, we pray the people around her will share the gospel, pray for her salvation and pray for peace from suicidal thoughts. We rebuke these thoughts in Jesus' name and declare life and hope over her. We pray she will be saved and delivered from suicide and all her struggles. Father, grant her the strength to overcome her struggles with binge eating and smoking, and guide her path to attending college successfully. May she find her identity and hope in You, and may Your will be done in her life. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
