Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our anonymous friend and their acquaintance who may be struggling with a drinking problem. Lord, you are the ultimate source of strength and deliverance, and we ask that you intervene in this situation. We pray that you would touch the heart of this acquaintance, opening their eyes to the destructive nature of their actions and granting them the desire to seek help and healing.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for our anonymous friend. Help them to approach this situation with love, compassion, and understanding, without jumping to conclusions or passing judgment. Grant them the ability to offer support and guidance to their acquaintance, leading them towards the path of recovery and restoration.
In your Word, you promise that you are able to save and deliver those who come to you in faith. We claim this promise for our acquaintance, believing that you can break the chains of addiction and bring about transformation in their life. We also ask for your guidance and protection for our anonymous friend as they navigate this delicate situation.
Lord, we trust in your unfailing love and mercy. We know that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. May your grace and healing power be poured out upon our acquaintance, bringing them freedom from their drinking problem. And may our anonymous friend be a source of support and encouragement, reflecting your love and compassion in their interactions.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
