Lastly, we lift up your marriage before the Lord. We pray for a strong, godly union that is built on the foundation of Christ. In Ephesians 5:25 (WEB), husbands are instructed to love their wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her. And in Ephesians 5:22 (WEB), wives are encouraged to be subject to their own husbands, as to the Lord. We pray that your marriage will be a beautiful reflection of Christ's love for His church.
