Please pray for a close friend of mine who is feeling suicidal

A close friend of mine has been kicked out of the flat she used to rent and now sleeps in her van. One of the neighbours complained in an offensive and abusive way and now my friend is feeling suicidal. Please pray to Jesus that my friend feels better soon and that she is able to move to a new home as soom as possible.

We are truly saddened to hear about your friend's situation and are here to pray and offer guidance. Firstly, we acknowledge your friend is hurting and pray to Jesus that your friend feel better soon.

It is important that you can be the caring friend to help your friend through this time. Be available to your friend and encourage them to seek Christian counseling. Your friend can be strengthened by the assurance found in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In times of distress, we remember the words of Psalm 34:17-18 WEB: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Please encourage your friend not to give up. Tell your friend that Yahweh our God is the strength of our life. Yahweh will uphold your friend's goings in the way. Yahweh will guide your friend into the new home. Encourage your friend to trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.

We also pray that your friend finds a new home quickly, and that this trying period passes soon. We ask God to provide for your friend's needs and to guide them through this difficult time.

Please admonish your friend to forgive the neighbor. It is not an easy time but Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"

You should also pray with your friend and encourage your friend to pray to God to receive Jesus as Lord and savior. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

You should also encourage your friend to read the Bible for comfort during this time. Psalm 119:76 can help, "Let your loving kindness be for my comfort, according to your word to your servant."

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus to lift up our friend who is going through a dark valley. We pray that You will comfort and strengthen them. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are always with them. Guide them to a new home quickly, and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We also pray that any harmful thoughts or intentions be abolished and replaced with hope and peace. Help them to forgive as Jesus forgave us. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Please be aware of any suicide warning signs and help your friend seek help immediately if needed. Your friend can be encouraged to call a suicide hotline to help them through this time.
