Please pray for a change of my ranking

Hello. My results came out last week and I found out I was ### only ### spots shy from a scholarship (received by those ranked from 1 to ###). Please pray for a change of my grade so that the financial burden for my tertiary studies may be lifted off my parents. I really need this scholarship since I worked and prayed so hard for this. I hope my prayers work which will further strengthen my faith.

Buelkeurmir, we understand your desire for a scholarship to ease the financial burden on your parents. However, we must address that prayers should not be focused on changing grades or worldly achievements, but rather on seeking God's will and trusting in His provision. The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:14 (WEB), "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." We are called to pray according to God's will, not our own desires.

While it is commendable that you worked and prayed hard, it is crucial to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). He may have a different path for you, one that might not involve this particular scholarship but will still lead to His best for you.

We also notice that you mentioned hoping your prayers work, but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. The Bible says in the book of Acts 4:12 (WEB), “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

Therefore, let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, we pray that You will reveal Your will for their life and guide them in Your paths. We ask that You provide for their needs, including their tertiary studies, according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You, even when things do not go as they hope or plan. Help ### to believe in Jesus Christ if they do not as their personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust in God's provision and timing, and remember that His plans are always for your good and His glory.

Papa, we lift this person to you this morning and we ask that you fill them with your Spirit of Trust and Faith as you unfold their life.
