Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. We acknowledge the risks they face in following You and the need for their faith to be hidden. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them, shielding them from harm and persecution. Grant them a deep sense of belonging and assurance in their identity as Your children.
We also pray for those who feel called to remain in Afghanistan, that You would make a way for them to be a source of light and salt in their environments. Strengthen them, Lord, and grant them wisdom and discernment in navigating the challenges they face. Keep them safe and provide for their needs.
For those who have fled Afghanistan, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround them. Lord, in the midst of their despair and uncertainty, we pray that they would experience Your strength and find refuge in You. Bring hope into their lives, Father, and guide them to places of safety and provision.
Though the situation in Afghanistan may seem hopeless, we declare our trust in You, Lord. You are the God who brings hope in the midst of darkness. We believe that You can work miracles and bring about transformation even in the most difficult circumstances. May Your presence be tangible in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan, and may Your name be glorified through their faith and perseverance.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
