In these digital times, it's increasingly important to remember that our words hold power, even when they're behind a screen. We are called to be kind, just as our heavenly Father is kind. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this digital world that has become a part of our daily lives. We pray that your Spirit would move in the hearts of all who use the internet, that they would be kind and compassionate towards one another.
Lord, help us to remember that there are real people behind the screens, each one made in your image. Guide our words and actions, that they would be a reflection of your love. Help us to build each other up, not tear each other down. As it is written in Colossians 3:12 WEB, "Put on therefore, as Godโs chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance." Help us to be ambassadors of your grace and kindness online.
Convict us when we fall short, and grant us the courage to stand up for others who are subject to bullying and harassment online. Help us to remember to end every online interaction in peace and love. Convict us to live out the message of the gospel as we communicate online.
We ask this in Jesus Christ name, Amen
