Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB)
As we pray for kindness to prevail in America today, let us also remember that true kindness flows from a heart changed by the love of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can truly be kind, forgiving, and tenderhearted, as He is kind to us. (1 John 4:19 WEB)
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that Your kindness would be shed abroad in the hearts of all people in America today. Help us to put off all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander, to put off evil speaking and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as You also in Christ forgave us.
We pray also for those in America who do not yet know Your son Jesus Christ, that they would turn to You and find kindness, forgiveness, and new life. We pray for a spirit of kindness to prevail in every community, every family, and every heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us also remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) There is no other name by which we can be saved, as the Bible writes, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
So let us be kind, as He is kind, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around us.
