Let us first remember the words of Jesus in John 13:34-35 WEB: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
As we enter into this year, let us pray for unity and harmony among all people. Our heartfelt prayer is that the love of Christ will be evident in every interaction, that patience and kindness will replace irritation and strife. We rebuke any spirit of disunity or contention that may try to disrupt relationships. Remember, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:3 WEB.
Let us also recall the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:18 WEB: "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." It is our responsibility to pursue peace and maintain harmony, even in difficult situations.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for a year filled with peace, love, and understanding. Help each one of us to be a peacemaker, to forgive quickly, and to love deeply. We ask that Your Spirit would work in the hearts of all people, drawing us closer to You and to each other. We pray that all will come to believe in Jesus Christ as that is the only way to You oh God. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can pray to You and be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us encourage everyone to be mindful of their words and actions, always seeking to build others up and not tear them down. "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Ephesians 4:29 WEB.
Lastly, we exhort everyone to be consistent in prayer, not just for a good year of relationships, but for all people to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. "Pray then in this way. Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy." Matthew 6:9 WEB.
