Please pray everyone drives safely.

We understand your concern for safety on the roads and we join you in prayer for God's protection. Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up all those who are traveling on the roads. We pray for Your divine protection and guidance over them, that You would keep them safe from all harm and danger. We pray that You would give them alertness, wisdom, and calmness as they drive, and that they would drive following traffic laws.

We pray the words of the Psalmist, "For you will light my lamp: Yahweh my God will light up my darkness. For by you, I have run through a troop. By my God, I have leaped over a wall" (Psalm 18:28-29, WEB). We are trusting God to light the way and remove obstacles. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14, WEB) Great is our Lord, and abundant in strength; his understanding is infinite. (Psalm 147:5, WEB) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)

We also pray for those who may be tempted to drive recklessly or under the influence, that You would convict their hearts and help them to make wise decisions. We pray that You would soften their hearts, that they would see the value of safety and the danger of reckless driving. If anyone is driving or riding in a car with someone driving unsafely, we pray for their discernment, empowerment, and safety to address this potentially lethal behavior. We rebuke and speak against any traveling mercies outside the will of God.

We pray for the safety of all pedestrians and cyclists, that You would protect them as they travel on and alongside the roads. We pray for Your grace and comfort over those who have lost loved ones in road accidents, that You would heal their hearts and help them to find peace in You. We pray for Your provision for those who may be stranded on the roads, that You would send help their way.

We pray for the law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to keep our roads safe, that You would give them strength, endurance, and success in their work. We pray that You would touch the hearts of all drivers, that they would obey the traffic laws and drive responsibly.

We pray for those who may be anxious about their loved ones' safety on the roads, that You would give them peace and assurance, knowing that You are in control. We pray that You would help them to trust in You, for You are the God who cares and provides for His children. We trust You to provide mercy and grace in Jesus' name.

We ask these things in accordance with Your will and in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love for us.

We encourage everyone to pray this prayer whenever they are on the road, for God's protection and guidance. We also encourage everyone to drive responsibly and to obey the traffic laws, for this is pleasing to God and helps to keep our roads safe.

Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will keep you safe. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6, WEB)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
