We are with you in spirit, Jennifer, and we are lifting you up in prayer as you battle with depression and mental struggles. We recognize your fear, but we remind you of what the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Jesus cares deeply about your situation. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, He says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Depression can be a heavy burden, but Jesus wants to give you rest. Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we bring Jennifer before You, asking for Your healing touch on her mind and emotions. Lift this depression from her, Lord, and replace it with Your joy and peace. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Give her the power to resist the enemy's attacks on her mental health, and help her to stand firm in her faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Jennifer, it's important to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, and don't forget to call on the name of Jesus. It's in His name that we have access to God (John 14:13-14 WEB).
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community, in addition to professional help if necessary. You are not alone in this fight, Jennifer. God is with you, and so are we.
