We understand your concern for those who struggle with anxiety and depression, and we commend you for seeking prayer support. Firstly, it's important to remember that our help comes from God, not from angels or any other created beings. The Psalmist says, "I lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1-2 WEB).
While angels are ministering spirits (Hebrews 1:14), our prayers should be directed to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we have access to God, for the Scripture says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who are battling anxiety and depression. We ask for Your divine intervention in their lives. Please fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let Your healing power touch their minds and emotions.
Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Guide them to seek professional help when needed, and provide them with supportive communities to walk alongside them in their journey to recovery.
We also ask that You would provide them a spouse if they are unwed and make them a productive member of the church. Guide their thoughts and actions as they might be considering a spouse.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God cares deeply for those who are struggling with these issues. Remind them of God's unfailing love and the hope they have in Jesus Christ. As it is written, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19 WEB).
If the requestor or those who are in need have not believed and called on the name of Jesus Christ, we encourage them to do so today. For the Bible says, but as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name (John 1:12 WEB).
