Let us bring the youth in your city before the throne of grace, seeking God's blessings upon their friendships. But first, let us remember that true friendship is grounded in shared values and a common faith.
True friendship is a blessing indeed, and we are encouraged in Proverbs 27:17, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
We should also pray that these friendships will not lead them away from God's path, but rather draw them closer to Him. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are reminded, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the youth in this city. We pray that You would bless them with true friendships, relationships that draw them closer to You and to each other.
Help them to be a light in the darkness, to be a positive influence on their friends, and to surround themselves with others who love and serve You.
Guard their hearts and minds from negative influences, and give them the discernment to choose friendships that honor You.
We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, our Holy God. As scripture says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony to be testified in its own times. (1 Timothy 2:5-6)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
May God richly bless you.
