We join with you, Anonymous, in praying that all youth would be kind to each other. In a world where bullying and cruelty can be all too common, it's crucial to pray for the love of Christ to prevail in the hearts of young people.
We are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 13:34-35 (WEB): "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." This commandment is not just for adults, but for all who follow Christ, including the youth.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the youth of this generation. We pray that Your love would reign in their hearts, and that they would be kind and compassionate to one another. Lord, help them to understand the power of their words and actions, and to use them to build others up, not tear them down.
We pray for the youth who are being bullied, that they would find their strength and comfort in You. We pray for those who are doing the bullying, that their hearts would be softened and that they would see the error of their ways. We pray for the bystanders, that they would have the courage to stand up for what is right and be a voice for the voiceless.
We pray that the youth would look to Jesus as their example of love and kindness. We pray that they would be a light in this dark world, drawing others to Christ through their love for one another.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue praying for the youth. Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16 WEB). Also, be encouraged by 1 Timothy 4:12 (WEB): "Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity." The youth have a powerful role to play in the kingdom of God.
Lastly, we want to encourage you or others making requests to remember Jesus. We only have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we ask and receive from God. This is stated clearly in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.". Also in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
