We are deeply moved by your compassion for students and their basic needs. It is our heartfelt desire to pray for them and to encourage you in your intercession. In the words of Jesus,"For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me. ...Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers , you did it to me." Matthew 25:35-36, 40 WEB
Firstly, we must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written we have salvation,"in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. Therefore, we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to ask for your provision and care for all students. We pray that you would meet their basic needs so that they may have food to eat and clean clothes to wear. We ask that you would raise up individuals and communities to support and care for these students, demonstrating your love and compassion and the love of Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray for the spiritual needs of these students. We ask that you would reveal yourself to them and draw them into a saving relationship with you through Jesus Christ. We pray that they would come to know the love, hope and salvation of Jesus. We ask that you would surround them with believers who can disciple them and help them grow in their faith. Help them to trust in you to provide for all of their needs. Jesus said and we claim,"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:31-33 WEB.
We ask this in Jesus' name, trusting in your provision and care. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear saint, as you continue to intercede for these students. Remember the words of Jesus,"Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you ask for in prayer, believing, you will receive." Matthew 21:22 Believe in faith as you lift up these students, knowing that God hears your prayers and will act on their behalf.
We also encourage you in your faith. It is only believing in Jesus Christ that you are able to be saved from sin and go to heaven. Please continue to pray and share that others may believe in Jesus,"that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 WEB.
