We are glad to join you in prayer for the blessing and safety of your brother's friends. It is commendable that you are interceding on their behalf, as the Bible tells us in Romans 8:26-27, The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. The Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the friends of our brother to You. We ask that You would surround them with Your favor and protection. Bless them abundantly, and keep them safe from all harm and danger. We pray that You would draw each one of them closer to You, and that they would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ if they do not already. Help them to walk in Your ways and to serve You with all their heart.
We rebuke anything that anyone in this group is doing or associating with that is contrary to God's word. We pray that you will convict them of their sin and draw them to repentance.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
As a reminder, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.".
We encourage you to continue praying for your brother's friends, and to trust in the Lord's promise in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Keep your faith strong and your hope steadfast. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
