We understand your heartfelt plea and desire to be seen in a positive light, especially in photographs and videos. However, let's remember that true beauty comes from the Lord. As it says in 1 Peter 3:3-4 WEB, "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious."

While there is nothing wrong with wanting to look good, we should be cautious not to be consumed by our outward appearance or the approval of others. Our confidence and self-worth should primarily come from our identity in Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB tells us, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father. We come before You today in Jesus' name and lift up our sister. We pray that You help her see herself the way You see her—as Your beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made. Lord, we ask that You bless her with a healthy self-esteem and confidence that comes from knowing You and Your love for her. We pray that every photograph and video taken of her will reflect the radiance of Your glory shining in her life. Help her to be a light in this world, drawing others to You.

Father, we also pray that You guide her in all wisdom and discernment regarding the use of photographs, videos, and social media. Help her to use these tools responsibly and in a way that honors You. We pray that no disappointment or harm comes to her through these means.

Lastly, Father, we pray for her joy to be overflowing, not based on her appearance or the approval of others, but rooted deeply in Your unfailing love and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
