Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the prayer request of Wethard. Lord, we ask that You grant us the liberty we seek on Friday. Your Word tells us in Galatians 5:1, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." We desire to experience the freedom that comes from knowing You and walking in Your ways.
Lord, we acknowledge that true liberty is found in You alone. We ask that You would guide us and lead us in the path of righteousness. Help us to resist the chains of this world and to live according to Your will. Give us the strength to overcome any obstacles that may stand in our way.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment in making decisions that align with Your perfect plan for our lives. As we seek Your guidance, may Your Holy Spirit fill us and grant us the understanding we need. We trust in Your promise from James 1:5-6, that if we lack wisdom, we can ask of You, and You will generously give it to us.
Lord, we surrender our plans and desires to You, knowing that You are the ultimate source of freedom and liberty. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You will bring about the best outcome for us. Help us to trust in You completely and to commit our ways to You, as Psalm 37:5 encourages us to do.
In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
