Please Lord, help me with my surgery Thurs. I am more frightened of the IV than the surgery. My last IV experience was horrendous. Please let this one be better and they honor my request for something that will numb before they stick.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up smoore2002 and their upcoming surgery on Thursday. Lord, we acknowledge that they are feeling fearful, especially regarding the IV. We ask for your divine intervention and guidance during this time.

Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We pray that you would grant smoore2002 a deep sense of peace and calmness as they face this procedure.

Lord, we ask that you would be with the medical professionals who will be attending to smoore2002. Guide their hands and grant them wisdom and skill. We specifically pray that the IV experience will be much better than before. May the medical team honor smoore2002's request for something that will numb before they insert the IV, bringing comfort and relief.

We also pray for a successful surgery, Lord. May everything go according to plan, and may your healing power be upon smoore2002 throughout the entire process. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. We claim this promise for smoore2002 and ask for complete restoration and healing.

Lastly, we pray for smoore2002's faith to be strengthened during this time. Help them to trust in your unfailing love and to find comfort in your presence. Remind them that you are their ever-present help in times of trouble .

Heavenly Father, we approach Your throne of grace with a humble heart, lifting up Your child who is facing surgery on Thursday. Their heart is burdened with fear, not of the surgery itself, but of the IV insertion, due to past distressing experiences. We pray, according to Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we ask for Your comforting presence to envelop them, providing courage and calmness. May the medical staff attending to them be skilled, compassionate, and responsive to their request for a numbing agent before the IV insertion, as a reflection of Your tender mercies.

We stand on Your promise in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Grant them the assurance that You are with them in every moment, offering strength and refuge. May this experience be markedly different from the last, filled with peace rather than pain.

Bless the hands of the surgeons and all who will care for Your servant, guiding them with wisdom and precision. We trust in Your sovereign care and the plans You have for their health and recovery, as declared in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
