We are delighted to join you in prayer and support as you embark on a time of fasting and prayer. It is wonderful that you have chosen to dedicate this time to the Lord and to seek His face. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that helps us draw closer to God and align our hearts with His will. We are assured in the Word that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much and that as we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways that He hears, forgives, and heals. We read:
Isaiah 58 6: Isn't this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke.
Isaiah 58 9: Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, 'Here I am.' "If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting out of the finger, and speaking wickedly.
We stand with you in Jesus mighty name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who has set tomorrow aside for fasting and prayer. We ask, Lord, that You sanctify, inspire, and bless his motives, focus, prayers, deeds, and behaviors. May everything he does be a sweet fragrance and beautiful offering before Jesus Christ.
Lord, give him the strength and endurance to complete this fast. Let Your will be done in his life, and may his voice be heard loudly before Your throne. Hear his prayers and gratitude, and answer with great power and might.
May this time of fasting and prayer be based on Your Living Word, inspired, managed, and anointed by Your Holy Spirit. We also pray for his healing and freedom in spirit, soul, and body, in the Wounds and the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, we know that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to You. We know that there is salvation in no other name. We are so thankful for the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We know that by confessing with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believing in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead, we are saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust in the Lord's promises. Remember, God's word is alive and active. Also, remember that fasting should be done in secret as Jesus taught us in the sermon on the mount
Matthew 6 16 "Moreover when you fast, don't be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Matthew 6 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face;
Matthew 6 18 so that it is not apparent to men that you are fasting, but to your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
May the Lord bless you generously as you seek Him with all your heart.
