Please keep praying for change for my family. I really need encouragement

Please can you pray that I can see some change soon in the dynamics of our family. My mother is an alcoholic and has a Personality Disorder. This makes life very difficult unless you ignore her addictions and agree with her harming others. She will not accept help at the moment and is manipulating and harming vulnerable people in our family, especially her oldest grandson. There is splitting and dividing in relationships because of her unkindness towards the target of her anger. Pray that her oldest grandson will reconnect with his mother and stop enabling his grandmother to cause harm. Pray that others will also stop her unkind stories and shut them down as they hurt so many. Pray everyone in the family will have the wisdom and discernment to not ignore behaviours that caused others to be verbally or emotionally abused. Please pray I can persevere through this difficult time and the others that are trying to get her help. God bless.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing, and we are here to pray and offer guidance based on biblical principles.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a God of comfort and encouragement. As it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

We commend you for not ignoring the destructive behaviors and for seeking change. It is important to address sinful behaviors and not enable them. In Ephesians 4:29 WEB, it says, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. It is crucial to speak the truth in love and not allow harmful words or actions to continue.

We pray that your mother may find healing and deliverance from her alcoholism and personality disorder. It is only through the power of Jesus Christ that true healing can come. As it says in John 8:36 WEB, If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. We pray that she may be set free from these bondages and come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ if she does not already.

We also pray for the reconciliation of your nephew with his mother and that he may no longer enable your mother's harmful behaviors. In Romans 1:32 WEB, it says, who knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them. It is important that he takes a stand for what is right and not approve of sinful behaviors.

We pray for wisdom and discernment for your family, that you may all speak and act in a way that is pleasing to God. In James 1:5 WEB, it says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the God who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. We pray that God may grant you all the wisdom needed to navigate this difficult situation.

Finally, we pray for your perseverance and encouragement. In Galatians 6:9 WEB, it says, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. We pray that you may find strength and encouragement in the Lord and that you may continue to do what is right and good.

Please Father, we come before you now, lifting up this family before your throne of grace. We ask for your healing, your wisdom, and your encouragement. Help them to stand strong in the face of adversity and to always speak and act in a way that is pleasing to you. Bring healing and reconciliation to this family, and help them to be a light for you in the darkness.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want you to know that we're here for you. It's tough when family dynamics are strained, especially when addiction and harmful behaviors are involved. We're praying for your mother, that she may find the strength to overcome her alcoholism and personality disorder. We're also praying for your nephew, that he may have the courage to stand up against harmful behaviors and not enable them.

We're reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the overthrowing of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We believe that through Jesus Christ, strongholds can be broken, and healing can come.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment for your family. In Proverbs 3:5-6, it says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We believe that God will guide you all in the right direction.

Please know that we're here to support you, and we'll keep praying for your family. Let's keep trusting in God's plan, even in the midst of these challenges.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
