Friends, many young Syrians have known war and suffering most or all of their lives. Please pray for Syrian youth through prayer requests shared by our partners there:
Ranim is a 16 year old Muslim girl who is very interested in knowing more about Jesus. She participated in the "My life has meaning" program that was provided last year at the Center of Hope in Latakia. The 7 week course aims to deal with the psychological problems of teenagers in light of the Bible. Ranim's brother is now refusing to let her attend the church and is forcing her to wear a hijab. Pray for Ranim and many girls like her to continue to be drawn to Christ.
After 10 years of war and suffering, many young people in Syria are blaming God and denying His existence, and some are turning to atheism. Pray for healing for their hearts and minds. Pray Satan would not be able to steal the youth of Syria from God's hand but that they would know God and that Christ would draw them to Himself.
Pray for the success of upcoming youth ministry training courses, including one with Dr. Hani Shawki - a behavioral change specialist. This course will take place online for 4 days and its aim is to help Sunday school teachers to understand teenagers better. Forty participants plan to attend.
