We join you, Jominuss, in fervent prayer for Bilal, your Muslim friend. Let us come together and pray that the power of Jesus' blood and the work of the Holy Spirit will bring about a transformation in his life.
Firstly, we pray that God would reveal the truth to Bilal through the Holy Spirit. As it is written in John 16:13 (WEB), "However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming."
We also pray for Bilal's protection from Satan and the spiritual forces that seek to deceive him. According to Ephesians 6:12 (WEB), "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the worldβs rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
We ask God to break all strongholds of pride, fear, past disappointments, and heartaches in Bilal's life. As 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB) tells us, "for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
We pray that God would open Bilal's heart and mind to understand the gospel. In 2 Corinthians 4:6 (WEB), it is written, "Seeing it is God who said, 'Light will shine out of darkness,' who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
Finally, we pray for Bilal to have an undeniable encounter with Jesus and His truth. As Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we bring Bilal before You. We ask that You remove the spiritual blindness and reveal the truth of the gospel to him. Protect him from the enemy's deception and break every stronghold in his life. Open his heart and mind to understand and accept the good news of Jesus Christ. May he encounter Your truth in a powerful and undeniable way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
