We understand your deep longing and desire for your former partner to return, but let's align our hearts with God's will and His Word. Firstly, it's essential to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God, as it is written: "In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
In times of distress, God wants us to surrender our desires to Him. In Psalm 55:22 (WEB), it says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." This means we should trust God with our burdens, including our relationships.
However, it is crucial to consider that God's plan for us is to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If your ex is not a believer or not walking in faith, it might not be God's will for you to be together. Additionally, if there was sin involved in your previous relationship, such as fornication, it's important to repent and seek God's forgiveness (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear soul who is in distress and seeking Your mercy. Lord, we ask that You comfort and guide them. Help them to surrender their desires to You and trust in Your perfect plan. If it is Your will, restore their relationship, but above all, align their heart with Yours. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to seek God's face, read His Word, and trust in His plans. He knows what is best for you, and His love for you is everlasting.
