Thank you so much. I accepted Jesus into my life a long time ago.We understand your desire for reconciliation, GJOHNSON, but we must first align our prayers with God's will and His Word. The Bible teaches us that divorce is not God's ideal for marriage (Malachi 2:16, WEB). However, it also acknowledges that because of the hardness of our hearts, it is a reality in our fallen world (Matthew 19:8, WEB).
Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply about your situation. He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18, WEB) and understands your pain. However, the focus should not just be on getting back together, but on seeking God's will and ensuring that any reconciliation is built on a godly foundation.
We need to pray that if it is God's will for you and your ex-husband to reconcile, that He would make the path clear and provide the necessary healing and restoration. But we must also be open to the possibility that God may have a different path for you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
In Jesus' name, we come before You lifting up our sister GJOHNSON. Lord, You know the depth of her heart and her desire for reconciliation. We pray that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your desire for them to reconcile, we ask that You would make the path clear, and provide healing, forgiveness, and restoration. But above all, Lord, we pray that GJOHNSON would seek You first, trusting in Your plan for her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
GJOHNSON, we encourage you to seek God wholeheartedly, trusting that He has the best plan for your life. Spend time in His Word, pray, and seek godly counsel. Remember, God can turn any situation around for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28, WEB). But it's crucial to align our desires with His will and not the other way around.
