Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with alcoholism. Lord, we acknowledge that addiction is a powerful stronghold, but we know that nothing is impossible for you. Your Word assures us that you are able to save to the uttermost those who come to you through Jesus Christ .
We lift up our friend to you, knowing that they have made efforts to overcome this addiction in the past but have fallen back into it. We pray for your divine intervention and deliverance in their life. Lord, we ask that you would remove the overwhelming desire for alcohol and replace it with a deep hatred for it, just as you did for the writer of the source material.
We pray for strength and perseverance for our friend as they navigate this journey of recovery. Surround them with a supportive community of believers who will uplift and encourage them in their battle against alcoholism. Help them to lean on you, Lord, for you are their source of true strength and victory.
We also pray for the families and loved ones of those struggling with addiction. We ask that you would comfort them and give them hope as they continue to pray for their loved ones. May they not lose heart but trust in your faithfulness and the power of prayer.
Lord, we know that you are a God of miracles and transformation. We believe that you can set our friend free from the bondage of alcoholism and restore them to a life of wholeness and purpose. We thank you in advance for the victory that is to come.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

Please pray for me to never drink alcohol again and have the courage and determination to work through my issues with Gods help and not use alcohol as a coping mechanism. Pray I never touch alcohol again.
